This year, my mentor is Dr. Richard Schmitt. Dr. Schmitt has over thirty years of experience in psychology, and has worked in many different areas of the field. In his time as a psychologist, Dr. Scmitt has been the first ever psychologist for a major league baseball team (the Texas Rangers), worked with individuals in a civil case concerning the largest plane crash in DFW history (Delta Airlines flight 191), and worked to successfully secure an insanity defense, a nearly impossible forensic achievement.
Currently, Dr. Schmitt practices clinical psychology as well as forensic psychology in criminal, civil, and family courts based out of his office in Arlington, Texas. Dr. Schmitt commonly deals with issues such as ADHD and child custody cases.
